One of the newest technologies in the garment printing industry. Direct-to-Film (DTF) transfers are full-color heat applied transfers for light and dark garments. No weeding or masking is required and DTF transfers can be applied to cotton, cotton/poly blends, and even 100% polyester. They are similar to OKI but require a heat element to procure the transfers.

Requirements:
You must press with a heat press only. An iron or Cricut Easy Press will not work. All materials are acceptable for use including: 100% Cotton, 100% Polyester, and Poly/Cotton Blends. Also, not only on tshirts (pillows and throws, etc.,).

Instructions: Preheat garment to remove any moisture and wrinkles then place transfer print side down onto the garment and cover with teflon sheet. Press at 325°F/ 30 seconds seconds (if pressing on poly a lower temperature can be used). Once pressed let the shirt cool (this is a cold peel) for 5 minutes once cool slightly roll away the transfer in one smooth continuous motion. Then cover with parchment or kraft paper (silicone is the best) and repress for 10 seconds with high pressure then warm roll the paper off.

Please note: Each heat press is different -- I recommend testing out your press with different temperatures and pressure to see which works best for your desired look.
